Isn't it amazing how time slips up on us! I mailed my cards later than usual last month, and not quite as many. But I am determined to do better this year!
...is what I speak. It describes what I actually say (nonsense, mostly) and how I say it (ie my accent, which is a mixture of all sorts - a bit of North of England, a bit of Irish, a bit of South West England, a lot of just me!) The word comes from my name, Mel, and the fact that I'm one-quarter Welsh. But there's not actually any Welsh in my accent. Go figure...

My father (who rarely got his cards out on time) called them New Year's cards. Sounds good to me.
I still haven't sent my domestic Christmas cards out yet! I'm going to stamp "Happy New Year" on the outside and mail them this weekend.
