This and that :)

How's it going, friends? Are you all set for Christmas? It's nearly here, you know!! Are you excited yet?! (I am - just a little - does it show?!)

I think we're nearly ready now - just waiting for one last online order to arrive so I can wrap it. I did the final food shop this morning; all the wrapping is now done (except for that one last item I'm waiting for); I've been working on my Journal Your Christmas (not entirely successfully - I'll blog about that another time) and my December Daily (more successfully - I'll blog about that another time); I've made many a list and managed to check off most of the items... All is calm, all is bright!

I've also just signed up for a brand new class which starts in January. Have you heard of it? It's called Just One Sketch, it costs a bargain £5, and better yet the proceeds go to support GirlGuiding UK. Go check it out, I'd love to see you in class :)

And the teacher of this class just happens to be my blog friend Kirsty, and here's a photo I promised to share with her - the new keyring I picked up while Christmas shopping a couple of weeks ago:

Hope you like it, Kirsty :)

And I hope you all enjoy the last few days before the big day arrives! Hope all your last-minute jobs go well and you get some down-time too :) Speak soon xx

Glad to hear that you are (mostly) ready and excited for Christmas! I still have quite a few packages to wrap...but I'm getting there! :)

Totally (un)ready for Christmas. Thanks for the 'thumbs up' about the class - have signed up because as a Rainbow Guider it would be rude not to!

Yes mostly ready here - presents all wrapped. Food shop arrived today. My last day of work tomorrow (but do have to work between Christmas and New Year!) Way behind on JYC and havn't blogged for weeks. Hoping to catch up on the last two once during the break! Glad you are ready. Think I will see you in class too!

We've got everything done but the wrapping & my theory is - I am the one who kept track of what the kids wanted, compared prices, narrowed down the lists & finally bought the actual gifts, while DH occasionally said "so what are we getting the kids?". So he can be the one to WRAP the gifts.

The gifts may never get wrapped

I wrapped almost everything last night, it wasn't that bad. I am going to enlist the help of the younger generation when wrapping for their cousins ... it will be a social experiment!

Moving towards being ready, my goal is to be ready by 5:00's flight arrives at 5:15. Glad there will be so many familiar faces in class :)

Sounds like you have everything in place for Christmas and some inspiration lined up for January! We are wrapping our gifts to each other this evening - we always wait until a few days before Christmas, put on some holiday tunes, and wrap in different rooms, then put all the gifts under the tree. It's always a fun evening with us bantering back & forth from room to room about what a GREAT gift we're wrapping right then and how the other one is going to love this or that!

Nice to hear from you Mel. We're having a very casual Christmas this year. The tree is up, and I'm working on cards as we speak.

What!?!? Christmas is in a few day?!?!? I need a few weeks to be ready. Oh, well. I guess our will be an unperfectly perfect Christmas regardless of all the trimmings.

Love the aerial shot of your work table from yesterday's post. It looks happy. xx

Lol, I have have exactly the same slogan on a giant poster in my kitchen! Great minds think alike clearly, as I friend gave it to me a couple of years ago for Christmas :D

Thanks s much for blogging the class - I definitely got some extra classmates! The fundraising is already looking a bit less daunting so I really appreciate it.
