13th December: A day of baking! I made 6 dozen
mince pies - 2 dozen with sponge topping and 4 dozen with pastry stars on top. I also made a large jam tart (The Children don't like mince pies). AND I made some mincemeat loaves - 3 mini ones as teacher gifts and a large one ready for Christmas (I don't like Christmas cake). (Not that we're fussy or anything...)
Detail:
broken?*
*Thankfully not, though I had a worrying couple of hours! After playing around with various settings it started working again - thank goodness!

If you think the camera has broken, the two very first things to check - that I find help - are to make sure it has not been switched to manual and sometimes the connectors play up in the body/lens area .. I take my lens off the camera and put it on again and then it seems to be fine. Now, my camera has had a LOT of work since it was used prior to me inheriting it, and connectors are more likely to play up than perhaps in a new one, but, after speaking with others who have newer cameras they have found that helps too ... and, it's worth a try because it's a simple thing to check.
nice bit of familiarity seeing you using a glass to cut the pastry - I always have done too - the only cutter I have is the star for the top!
Oh my goodness, that made me stop in my tracks - thank goodness it wasn't a broken camera, that would have been very sad (especially at this time of year!). Have a wonderful Christmas Mel and I look forward to seeing photos after the event :) xx
So glad you got your camera working again. that would have been trgaic so close to Christmas. 6DOZEN mince pies? I'm impressed
Now that's a relief! Camera repairs can be very very expensive..
That's a fine feast of mince pies you prepared.
A very Merry Christmas to you all from all of us!
Now that is some heavy duty baking! So glad the camera wasn't broken!!!
