24th November: The previous week, The Tomboy had had a homework task based on a newspaper article about a baby hippo that had sadly died. She was utterly distraught by this, poor kiddy! :( On this particular day I was teaching her class and when I went to set up my computer ready I spotted a new piece of work pinned to the display board - a follow-up article about the miraculous recovery of the baby hippo! I'd had no idea she'd done this, I love teaching at her school because I'm forever stumbling across another special piece of work she's done :)

Oh what a beautiful piece TG ( I can't call her TB, sorry ;-)) has written - a certain miss would be distraught over that story too!
That Chasing Cars song makes me teary - due to an episode of Grey's Anatomy .. I bet it sounded good!
I love that she made to hippo recover - if only we could do that in real life sometimes ;).
How cool to get to sing Chasing Cars in choir, I love that song.
xx
Great piece of work. Seems like a risky piece of homework to give children of that age!
Oh bless her!
Oh, Mel, this is so sweet. This is one of the many reasons I love your sweet girl. LOVE that she turned it around so the baby hippo survived - I can only imagine how upset she must have been over the original news. :o(
And how lovely that your boy is singing in choir. Takes after his mama!
Yeah for talented vets and rewriting stories. Hope the concert goes well.
