1st November: The Boy came home from Scouts clutching a handful of new badges. As he'll be leaving soon (he's involved in too many things, sadly, so something has to give) I won't be sewing them onto his uniform - I shall probably stitch them onto a special blanket or such like together with his Cub badges, as a permanent record of this time.

Is there a papercraft badge, to show his genetic lineage? The blanket is a good idea, something to treasure.
I made a camp blanket for each of my children when they were in Scouts and Guides and one for me because I was a guide leader. I made them like a poncho so that they could sit around the campfire in it and still be warm and you can easily hold and drink your soup or hot chocolate from inside the blanket.
Mine now has something like 600 badges on it and I still add another every time we go on holiday
Well done on all those badges! I do like the sound of a Papercraft badge. Maybe we need to start a campaign..
Oooh I wonder if we still have our Beaver, Cub, Scout blanket, I'll look in the loft. Thanks Mel x I'll sign up for the campaign too.
