23rd June: Oh my, what a shock! I was about to take The Tomboy to her piano lesson, and went to get my purse so I could get some cash out to actually pay for said lesson! But when I got to my handbag, my purse wasn't there.... I didn't have time for a proper look, but after I'd dropped her off I searched the car and the house, and confirmed that it wasn't in either. Then I tried phoning a couple of colleagues to see if it had been found at work; one wasn't answering her phone but the other was able to remind me that there was an evening meeting so the school would be open, though she didn't know whether it had been found there. I dashed over to the school and there, thank goodness! was my purse, on one of the staffroom chairs. And then of course I remembered paying my tea money earlier that day, putting my money in the envelope on the noticeboard but needing to put my purse down so I could tick my name off on the list! I'm not normally so careless with my belongings, believe me - and this has been a lesson to be even more careful in future, because I do NOT want that worry again....

Isn't that just the worst feeling when you go to get your purse/phone/car key out of your bag and it isn't there? Trying to retrace your steps is never easy. Thankfully you found it quite quickly!

I hate that feeling of panic when you think something precious has been lost, but what a sense of relief to find it!

Glad you found it in the end, it's a horrible feeling until you have. You're quite fond of Joe Brown clothing, aren't you!

So glad you found it! I've experienced that panic on more than one occasion... which is why I never hang my purse on the back of restaurant chairs any more.

I'm glad you found your purse, there's nothing like that heart stopping moment when you can't find it, especially when you've just filled the car with petrol as I once did!
