I've made a start on my Smash Book :) I love Rinda's idea of limiting herself to 10 minutes per page, though I may allow myself two 10-minute(ish) slots per page, one for the background and one for the 'stuff' I'm adding on top! For now I've just prepared a kind of introduction page, using my favourite green and blue shimmer sprays and some journaling - oh, and a magnetic bookmark:
And it was fun :) Which is exactly what I'm after from this project!
PS With thanks to Rachel, I now seem able to comment on all your blogs again - simply by unchecking the 'remember me' box when signing in! Ironically, that's made Blogger remember me instead of forgetting me from one screen to the next..... If anyone else is still having trouble, try that, and if it doesn't work Rachel's listed various other steps you can try as originally shared by DarkUFO on the Blogger forum. Many thanks to you both! xx

Awesome page! I love the colors you've used.
And thanks for the Blogger tip - I have still been having trouble so I will try that!
Great job getting started! I got your email and will reply soon re: summer plans.
Rinda
Like Carrie...I love those colours....I'm busy putting my Smash book together right now.
Really cute first page Mel - could the appeal have something to do with you using my happy colors???
hurrah for ur comments darling and loving ur smashbook page. i am sure 2 x 10 minute blocks are fair. u could always have ur own tardis and go back and do it again if u wanted, thats 4 x 10 minute time pieces,

It looks great, I love the colours
Looking good!
Love the colours you have used, can't wait to see more.
I'm back because I wanted to add that all my pages do already have some sort of background, so your 10+10 plan is actually quite similar.
Rinda

Love the colours you've used!

I love what you've done Mel, but now I must confess that Smash Books leave me cold. I did that sort of thing so long ago that I think I must be smashed out. Either that or I am getting old.
That doesn't stop me admiring your pretty page though, I do love it.
Looks like you're going to have lots of fun with your Smash book. Great colors.
It's looking 'smashing' Mel.
Mel, I am sure this book will be filled with such a great variety of wonderful aspects to your life - I look forward to seeing it develop iver time :-)
How fun! A new inspiring project. I love your idea of 10 minute increments. I did that today in my own journal. Thanks for the inspiration. xx
I'm loving all the smash books I've been seeing. I'm tempted to take my collection of bits and pieces I've been saving and smash 'em into a book! LOVE it! and thanks for the Blogger/comment tip! xo
Great front page. Lovely colors. I haven't got my counterfeit Smash book together yet. Still looking for the perfect book, though I'm staring to gather other supplies
Love the colors in this! Looks like you are off to a great start
My daughter and I just bought journals to start smash books. I like the idea of a time limit. I look forward to seeing more of yours.
