I was inspired by this

It doesn't look like we got any of the Olympics tickets we applied for - though we'll have another go in the next round and keep our fingers crossed! Even if it doesn't work out, I'm looking forward to watching as much as possible on TV, cheering on Team GB, and taking part in various commemorative activities at school :) We had a special assembly yesterday to talk to the children about the event and the Olympic values, and this video was played. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

*** Edited to say - trying a slightly different version of the link, not sure why it wasn't working as the preview was fine! Let's see if this works... ***

We didn't get any tickets, either. Have always loved 'Proud', especially when the BBC used it as a backing track to the 2000 Sydney Olympics. HS and Steve Redgrave ~ so emotional!

I remember when the Olympics were in Los Angeles, and I lived there. It was very exciting. My brother got tickets to see "team handball." Not a sport we had ever seen before, but still it was kindof cool. The thing I remember most was an outing to go watch the torch run by!

I'm sorry you didn't get the tickets you wanted :(

In school here they are doing an Olympic values thing too - TTO has been selected as an "Olympic Ambassador", though he doesn't know what he will have to do for it yet
