10th June: The second meeting of our new Connect group :) This month we had an informal chat about parenting issues, ranging from dealing with tantrums, when to wean, post-natal depression, coping with family far away (or near but uninterested), coping with family wanting to be too involved, etc, etc!

Detail: Collection

Oops when I saw the books I thought you were having another baby :D

Mel I can't work out your connection between collection and the photo of a station with people going in (not out)

Ah, the amazing "Toddler Taming" - I so like Dr. Christopher Green - he's so sensible and thoughtful (not to mention fun!).

Assume it was The Parents-In-Law that you were Collecting, since that is what is on your post tags?
Hope it was/is a happy visit.

Fun collection. Didn't see my absolute favourites... "How to talk so kids will listen and listen so kids will talk" plus "Sibling Rivalry" by Faber & Mazlish

Also new stuff: I've been recommending "Nurture Shock" by Bronson & Merryman. A great scientific look at parenting practices. Of course they have a website ;)

Rail sign made me think of Princess who is doing lots of rail journeys this summer to look at universities.

Rail sign made me remember I have to make my Amtrak reservations soon since they don't do e-tickets.

Hope it's going well. Try the book approach ~ it was a huge hit with my mum's First Friday group. So much so that they'll have a book table at every monthly meeting from now on, where you can donate, exchange or borrow books.

lol - no more babies here, Mary!! I was at the station to collect The Parents-In-Law (you were right there, Lizzie) - they're in the background in the photo :)
