29th May: The Fabulous One and The Steve came over for dinner :) We had a lovely, fabby time, we chatted lots, we enjoyed a Jamie Oliver recipe (after giving the lamb rather longer in the oven than he suggested!) and then - and then, we decided to play a game. A Lego board game (Minotaurus, to be specific). And The Fabulous One, The Steve and The Doctor all ganged up on me. And they kept setting the minotaur on my men. And they kept moving walls to block off my escape route. And I lost :( Obviously, being such a nice and lovely person, I was genuinely pleased for The Fabulous One that she came first and for The Steve that he came second, but inside? Inside, my friends, I was crying..... ;)

Detail: Tidy

What a great storage collection, this would be good in the future playroom we are planning :)

wow minotaurus sounds scarey and as for that storage system that is scarily tidy. glad the fabulous one had a win as it's always best to let the guests win so my mother says!

Great pictures today, Mel! I wondered about those Lego games... now I know - they are suitable for "Grown-ups"! Never mind though, they may have ganged up on you, but you kept your integrity...

And what is this sudden craze for half-raw meat? All the tv cooking programmes seem to be suggesting that meat should be red and bloody in the middle, or it's not cooked right... YUK! Sorry chaps, but I like my meat Cooked... brrr... ~~shivers at thought of half-raw dinner ~~

Great stack of storage there - The Boy and The Tom-Girl are lucky if they have storage like this. Our the Boy has a stack of large and small plastic storage boxes, plus a mid-sleeper bed with a biiiig space underneath (for said large boxes) and a good set of wall shelving for the small items. His room is still a tip (or was, until his dad did a seeeerious clean-up over half-term!).
