10 on the 10th: An Up And Down Sort Of Day

Well, yesterday was an up and down sort of day!

1. Looking up (blearily) at my bedroom ceiling when I woke:

2. Looking down (amusedly) at the two little cups of tea I made for myself when my big mug turned out to be in the dishwasher at work:

3. Looking down (slightly sorrowfully) at my feet clad in boots for work (sorrowfully because it's June and by now I shouldn't need to still be wearing my 'winter uniform' for work!):

4. Looking up (anxiously) at the ominous sky while on break duty, wondering if the outdoor activity I had planned for the next lesson was going to be possible:

5. Looking down (optimistically) at the compass I wanted to use with the class during our outdoor activity (which did happen, by the way - the rain held off just long enough!):

6. Looking up (thankfully) at the canopy that shelters us when using the passageway from one part of the school to another:

7. Looking down (apprehensively) at my laptop's keyboard while trying to find a document I knew I'd saved somewhere.... (It did turn up, thank goodness!):

8. Looking up (appreciatively) at the blue sky now visible as The Children and I left school:

9. Looking down (happily) at the cheerful daisies growing in the verge behind the car park:

10. Looking down (relievedly) at my feet with boots removed when we got home and I could start to relax....:

10 ups and downs from yesterday, brought to you by Shimelle's 10 on the 10th.

PS Yes, I may well have made up some of those adverbs. But I Speak Melsh, remember?!

Fabulous, Mel! It's a really different "angle" on this idea and I loved it! The ad-lib adverbs just made it all the better - something new to add to the Melsh Dictionary perhaps?

And now I'm a bit dizzy. Good thing you didn't decide to look around in circles! ;)

Yes, that's one of the things I don't miss about teaching- having to think on your feet when it rains for an activity or forgetting where you've filed your planning info! I do miss my smart board though! We have the same socks!x

Great take Mel - Glad the weather stayed good for your lesson and so typical that it cheered up later.
Now glad to see I hit most of your unweird food habits in my post - how about banana and cheese sandwiches which Gem suggested - a step to far for me :0)
