Yes, of course I had a go at this challenge too!

This challenge, that is :) I like the look of Shimelle's clear instructions for getting some of the effect with my camera, and I'm keen to start playing with the settings on my camera (how long have I been saying that?!) but this is SATs week so I've been very busy at school and photo shoot time has been limited! For now I've had a go at the photo-editing-using-Picnik bit (oh my, how cool is Picnik? I thought I already knew about it but I clearly hadn't checked it out properly before....)

I started with this photo:

I followed Shimelle's steps and also added a bit of vignette just for the fun of it ;) Here's the result:

Now, that was fun! And all that scrapping got me back in the groove, so I have even more layouts to share with you over the weekend.... Thanks, Shimelle! xx

Love it Mel - you did a great job with the editing - but you did have a lovely photo to begin with and I think that is the key to good editing! :-)

Beautiful! And I know what you mean about how doing some scrapping makes it easier to do even more.

I must go and have another look at Picnik - and that post of Shimelle's!

On the chance you get this comment:

WOW!! These photos are STUNNING!! I love hydrangeas!! I saw them yesterday and didn't have time to comment but since comments are getting lost in the system, it may be just as well I didn't comment yesterday ;)
