Strike a Pose

So often, I return from a holiday and feel full of enthusiasm about my holiday photos. I order a photobook and a big stack of prints, all the while dreaming of the many layouts and/or minibooks I'm going to make....

...and then the prints sit on my workspace for a while. I'll riffle through them, reliving the memories, but somehow I don't quite manage to get scrapping. I might have an idea of how these 2 photos will go together on a page, and these few can go in sequence, and this deserves a layout all to itself - but it just doesn't seem to get beyond the thinking and ordering of the prints!

I'm so thrilled therefore to have got so many photos of our most recent holiday onto layouts already :) Here's another one - and I don't think it will surprise you to learn that it was inspired by Shimelle.... Specifically, by the April edition of 4x6 Photo Love, in which we're scrapping 4 photos:

The Tomboy, The Friend and The Friend all had a great time striking poses on this wall! The Boy joined in one of them, but as this last photo shows, he spent a lot of time trying to get out of the shot...

To see the journaling and the last shot, though, you need to lift the flap on which the title is mounted (which is why you maybe thought there were only 3 photos on this supposedly 4-photo layout?!)

OK, I still have a big stack of prints to go, but I also have a growing stack of pages - and using up all this stash has made room for more, hooray! ;)

Aah! I didn't think it would be like you to make a page without any journaling on it.

Isn't ur photo problem normal?! I have photos that I can scrap but the only ones I have any ideas for are the ones that are trapped on the broken computer :(

I'm always a fan of the blue/green color combo and yours is no exception! I tend to do a few travel layouts, let the photos sit awhile, then do a few more, etc. Just finishing our trip to New Mexico, which we took over a year ago!

Love it - especially the little girl embellie!

By the way, did you see we're both NSD winners on Shimelle's blog???

So excited! I'm taking the class pass as my prize, rather than more scrapping stuff. What about you?
