Loved up lizards and Easter eggs

Not sure those two ideas naturally link together, but hey! ;) They do here, because both layouts include a border between two photos, as per Shimelle's challenge :)

Easter Sunday, 2011. We were on holiday with The Friends, staying at the village of Constant in the Dordogne region. We found that there would be an Anglican service in a church at nearby Limeuil, so off we went.

They gave the four children a basket of hard-boiled eggs to decorate during the service, and these were the result!

The kids loved doing it, and loved being invited to the front to show their eggs to the congregation, too. (That bit made the parents nervous, though!)

Sticker border - sticker, Crate Paper pp and journaling cards all (you guessed it!) from Gotta Craft kits :)

Village de Constant, April 2011

Of course, the truth is that one lizard was sunning itself on the windowsill, the other ran up the wall, behind the shutter and then passed the first on the windowsill, and I just happened to get these lucky shots. But why let the truth get in the way of a good story?!

This time I just ran the title between the photos to create the border, and added the butterflies that don't really have anything to do with lizards but it made sense somehow in my mind...!

You've got to love that smiley face on that egg. Decorating hardboiled eggs is a big tradition round here. After they are done you are supposed to take them out and roll them down the biggest hill you can find. Then you get to pick the bits of shell out of your sandwiches..

Love how you paired the lizards with pink splatter and butterflies. It would never have occurred to me, but it works so well!

You never need an excuse to add a butterfly to a page IMHO - lovely pages!

Love both layouts. Good lizard snap. I tried this challenge at my crop on Sunday, bu I got distracted and the border was forgotten. I did stick one over - will post the LO soon

Catching up on some blog reading today - these layouts are great with the border between two photos & I really liked that picture of you and The Tomboy! (BTW - got inspired to clean/declutter the master closet and took a huge garbage bag plus a smaller shopping bag to the donation center today!)

Love the layouts Mel, the egg layout is so colourful and fun... And I like the way you used the title to separate the photos in the second one :)
