Aaaargh!!!

You know how sometimes someone 'improves' something and you kind of wish they'd left it alone? The 'new and improved' version so often isn't actually as good as the original? I'm thinking that Blogger had better buck that trend when the improvements are finally properly in place, as the process of improvement seems to be having a lot of unwelcome side effects! I finally found time this week to read and comment on blogs - but every time I've tried (and I've tried several times) I've been unable to leave a comment because Blogger keeps signing me out! :( I know I'm not alone in this, and I know that Blogger's onto it, but oh, how frustrating!! *sigh* So, I've decided to make sure I've at least read everyone's most recent post or two, and when the problem does get sorted I'll get back to commenting on your new posts from that point on. And mutter 'Blogger it!' under my breath now and then in order to let off steam ;)

Meanwhile, just a quick post to let you know why I still haven't commented on your blog.... And also to share what this was the prep for! Last week in my papercrafts class we looked at a couple of techniques, including turning bottle caps into embellishments. We made one where we had a background picture and a border of micro beads with Glossy Accents (or alternative, cheaper, clear-drying glue!) to fill and seal; the other we filled with buttons and beads and the Glossy Accents.  Here's an 'after' photo:

I plan to turn at least one of mine into a necklace by adding a hanging loop to the back and threading onto a cord or simple chain - I might even do that with both of them! They're great for embellishments on papercraft projects, too :)

Speak soon, my friends - Blogger permitting! xx

Argh it's been so frustrating for me too! I couldn't even sign in to create a new post last night!! GRR!

I have noticed though on a lot of blogs you have the option to select Name/URL and you can type your information in. Hope that helps!

Clever! And yes, i did wonder what they were for.

Well, at least you have an excuse for not commenting - me, I've just been too dang busy! I've read EVERYTHING, but commented very little.

arrrgggghhh well if this shows up I'll do a happy dance, I'm trying Carrie's approach. I have read so many blogs this week catching up and maybe 4 comments have gone through and I had a ton to say :( Relentless, thinking it would work on the next blog I went through the process again and again ughhhh

well. yippie skippy I went through and submitted it the normal way and it worked. I failed to say, the bottle caps are lovely ;)

I love those! What a great idea - I'm totally going to try it.
I'm so with ya on the Blogger frustration! I just gave up last night when it kept kicking me out... :(

OOOOHHHH! I love those handmade embellishments! I may have to try that out on my own...and I think they would also make VERY nice pendants indeed =-)

PS: I may also have to use that new phrase you've created "BLOGGER IT!"

I had a problem where it kept telling me I needed to sign in but when I read the help notice underneath it said I had to change settings in my security to allow me to sign in. Once I dropped my security setting slightly I was then able to stay signed in and to comment. Don't know if this will help in your case but might be worth a try xx

Bleah... I'm a bit tired of Blogger's "improvements" too. No problems leaving comments so far, but so many others have been reporting problems. Then of course, there was the wonderful issue last week, where we lost our posts/comments and it took 3 days to get it all sorted out.
Maybe I will move my blog... one day... some time...

Those bottle-cap thingies look interesting. You could buy a brooch back fitting and make one into a bag-pin, for your summer bag. They are fun - I may try something similar (when/if I get time!).

I was beginning to think it was me that couldn't always comment - It has started to improve for me so hope blogger is sorting out the issues. love your bottle caps! Jen x

Fab idea Mel, they look great. I hope the blogger bother is sorted soon too! Doesn't it mess up your plans? :)

These look like fun! Nicely creative and a useful size for a LO page. Looking forward to seeing what next! Sorry you're having blogger problems - shared by those of us on different platforms who can only comment intermittently!

Those are seriously cute and so fun! As for Blogger, I am having the opposite problem...no matter how many times I hit Sign Out, I can not log myself out unless I just turn the internet off all together!

I tried Rhona's suggestion and it didn't work then I installed Google Chrome and that helped and I also changed my comment style - that did help too - well, that was at the same time as installing Google Chrome and I have a feeling it is down to the former rather than the latter!

I am considering a platform change - this is far too frustrating and I do not think we are informed adequately enough - I do realise it is a free service, but I may be persuaded to pay a nominal fee if the results are far better.

REally cute! I have been able to comment most of the time.

This whole blogger thing has forced me to think about backing my blog up - something I've never done before. I'm just not sure where all the uncertainty is going to end..

Yep - I join the ranks of those who are really really REALLY frustrated with Blogger. And I did the same thing, Mel - feeling so far behind I set myself down to do some catching up and then couldn't leave a comment.

And I'm also like Cheri - a few times I've blown through some posts but didn't have time to leave a comment. ~sigh~

Don't you just love blogging though? :o) xo

Grrr! It is frustrating to read and then not be able to comment. I have found, like Carrie, that selecting Name/URL usually works, but not everyone gives that option.
The bottle caps are very pretty and will make a lovely necklace, or pin as Lizzie suggests xx
