That was the hop that was... And a sneak peek or two!

Yes, that was indeed the blog hop that was...

...fun, inspiring, interesting, clever, funny, sad, inspired, beautiful...

All these things and more :-)

Thank you so much to all my fellow bloggers for their wonderful posts, I really appreciate you joining in my hop and helping it to go so smoothly. (Blogger got poor Kirsty, but her post is there now, so please do pop back if you couldn't find it the first time!) It was lovely to see several of you offering prizes, thank you for your generosity!

I'd also like to say a special thank you to Jacky and Fiona, and to pass on much sympathy to you both in your losses. Your posts were beautiful tributes to your loved ones. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your friends and families xx

Thank you too to everyone who called by and read our posts, especially if you left comments. I'm aware that we were a pretty big hop, so well done if you made it round to everybody! If you haven't quite managed it yet, the contributions will still be there (though you may need to scroll down a little to find them below more recent posts), they're all a great read, and some of the giveaways may not yet have ended, so it's worth trying to find the time to visit! My own giveaway runs till Wednesday (20th April) so you've still got time to find the answers and have a go :-)

If you have entered already, I've got your emails all safe, and everyone so far has got 5 out of 5, well done! Thank you too for the lovely comments you've sent me with your entries, I started trying to reply but I don't think I'll have time to reply individually to everyone (not this side of Easter, anyway!) so can I please just say a big thank you to you all here? xx

It's been a lot of fun. Not always completely straightforward, but a lot of fun!! I already have an idea for the next one, though I may take a little bit of time to recover from this one first..... Watch this space ;-)

Meanwhile, other projects have also been keeping me busy lately. Many and varied projects, in fact. I'm nearly ready to start sharing them, but would you like a sneak peek or two?

Fuller versions of all these and more will be coming soon - together with an opportunity to share the inspiration from whence all these projects came! As you can see, I've been playing with quite a few different techniques; it does seem like a great opportunity to ask you, dear readers, what techniques you enjoy? What types of craft you play with? It does, after all, link so nicely with Shimelle's new class.... So to finish up, I'd be really grateful if you could take a moment to vote in this quick poll :-) It's just the one question, though multiple answers are possible. I'll share the results in a few days for anyone else who's interested. And, once again, THANK YOU!! xx

That was a great hop Mel. I made it to everyone but Kirsty but will definitely get to her's as soon as I finish this. Looking forward to the next one you come up with. You asked about other crafts in your poll, with me my other one is cross-stitch.

Thanks so much for hosting the hop Mel - it was interesting and entertaining and kept me busy between loads of laundry!

I answered the poll - I almost checked painting, but didn't because I use painting in the mixed media sense, I'm not a painter. So in the "other" category I would add mixed media and quilting.

Loved the hop, and another thanks for all you did to make it possible. I'm passing on Shimelle's class this time, too, as we will be away for too much of it. I'll be watching everyone's blogs, however, for reports on it.
