31st March: Art Day at school :-) I love it when Art Day falls on a day that I work! Our theme this time was the elements; I did some printing with Year 3, and got beautifully messy!!
*Extra info required here I think! I know it's battered, but The Boy's very attached to it. We've been paying a little extra each month on top of the cost of his lessons, to hire this tenor horn. The music service was selling off some old stock, and offered to sell us this instrument - for £10!! We didn't take long to think about that bargain! And so, yes, we now have a 'tenner horn'.... ;-)
...is what I speak. It describes what I actually say (nonsense, mostly) and how I say it (ie my accent, which is a mixture of all sorts - a bit of North of England, a bit of Irish, a bit of South West England, a lot of just me!) The word comes from my name, Mel, and the fact that I'm one-quarter Welsh. But there's not actually any Welsh in my accent. Go figure...
