16th March: OH, my. Oh, MY! As I mentioned here, we found out that The Doctor is being awarded a 1-month fellowship at the Huntington Library.... Yep, that would be in California!! I'm so proud of my clever The Doctor man :-)
Detail: Cycle
I'm very proud of your The Doctor too, Mel! In some way I'm sure he was awarded the honor so that you could be a little closer to Rinda and I so we can meet up! Right? Right! xo
Wonderfully exciting! Do you get to go with him? You could visit Rinda and maybe Deb... maybe some other bloggers too... The Girl and The Boy would like to go to California and it would be "educational" for them to see another country for a month! Me and DS were lucky enough to go to USA with my DH a number of years ago. He was sent there by his company, for a month; we spent the month of February staying in a nice apartment in Fairfax, VA, just on the outskirts of Washington DC. We had such a good time exploring, visiting various museums and other exciting places... Worth the hassle of finding a house-sitter etc. We were lucky that DH's firm would pay for Business Class for him - which more than covered 3 Standard Class seats instead; plus they booked and paid for the apartment, so we only had to feed and entertain ourselves. It was Fab! Go if you possibly can!!
Oh dear... I did it again... I meant to ask you to give my Congratulations to The Doctor... got carried away by excitement (and woolly-headedness!). Please consider it said!!
...is what I speak. It describes what I actually say (nonsense, mostly) and how I say it (ie my accent, which is a mixture of all sorts - a bit of North of England, a bit of Irish, a bit of South West England, a lot of just me!) The word comes from my name, Mel, and the fact that I'm one-quarter Welsh. But there's not actually any Welsh in my accent. Go figure...
