JYC 2010: Project Complete!

Warning: Very photo heavy!

So I'm done :-) And as I knew it would be, my little book is bulging!!

I love it, though :-) I love the tantalising glimpses of the bits of ribbon, edges of cardstock, scraps of lace and other teasers to the contents - this book feels almost like a living thing, that's trying to break its bounds! Which works for me, as it felt like it took on a life of its own in the making - some of the pages just wrote themselves, really, which is the best way!

I thought it would be nice to see all the pages gathered together in one place, so here they are:

As ever with a project like this, I don't love each and every individual page (though some of them are amongst my favourites I've ever made), but I *totally* love the project as a whole. I love that I've got some treasured supplies onto pages, that I've tried out a few new things and that some of them were so successful that they've been added to my regular scrapping arsenal, and that I've reflected and enjoyed this Christmas in a way that I just wouldn't have if I hadn't been following this class.

And, while I am ready to put this away now, it's been a blast - and I'm already looking forward to next year!

Well done - I know I could not sustain christmas stuff from 1 Dec through to 12th night.

Love the format you used - definately tucked that one away for future use

and I love teh attitude of 'not every page has to be fabulous but the overall project is'

Congratulations on completing this awesome project, Mel! I LOVE the way it looks all put together. There's nothing better than a bulging mini-book, I say. It was fun to have another quick look at all of your pages in this post. This will be a treasure for years to come!!! xo

It looks fantastic all together Mel - kudos!

It's looking good enough that I want to come round immediately and actually hold it in my hands. I love it when a book looks as though you should pick it up and read it - none of that 'leave it looking pristine on a shelf' stuff. I think it's bulginess (it's a word!) is beautiful x

Mel,
You rock!!! I love the way the actual Christmas page pops out because of its color.

Fabulous, Mel! I'm happy to say mine is nearly done as well. I've never made a Christmas Journal I didn't like, although this year's ran into a few stumbling blocks.

ugh, I'm so jealous. I dont know if i will every have a post like this because I'm still working on mine! And it's nearly May!!
Love all your pages together on this post. Your album looks fit to burst with crafty christmas goodness.
After BFS I went back to read some of the JYC posts. Now decided i should really go back and try to do more of my JYC pages. hopefully, one day i can have a post as cool as this one.
Do you think you will use the same size format next year?
