Traditional

For most of my JYC pages, the blog posts I write will form the basis of my journaling to go inside the envelope for each day. There may be an occasional exception for reasons of privacy, but generally my plan is to more or less write up my blog post on a piece of paper and pop that into the envelope.

This one's slightly different! I think what I want to do for this page is make notes as we go through the season, of all the little things we do that have become family Christmas traditions for us.

You see, at first I wasn't sure I'd be able to think of anything much. Then a few ideas came to me, but I suspect that at certain points over the next few weeks I'll be saying to myself, 'Of course! We do that! That's one of our traditions!'

Rather than write something now and miss a lot out, or start something and add to it later, I think I'll revisit this and do the journaling later in the season. Meanwhile, though, the envelope is decorated and ready in my album :-)

What a good idea. I'm a bit stumped right now about what to do for today's prompt. I might do something about my Nativity Set collection, as it's not really covered in my countdown/decorating post. Love the flags, btw.

i love the traditional style of papers u've used, the banner is fab and the lettering is cute. ur pages are looking lovely and i think it is important that somethings remain personal. i am far too open sometimes i think.

I'm waiting a few days on today's prompt because I haven't sorted out what is a tradition & what is just wishful thinking occasionally being fulfilled.

I'm glad the change with the half circle worked out for you. XX

That's a great idea Mel, I sometimes struggle to think of all the things we do - until we do it!
