Scrap Your Day 8 of 12: The day

Yes, that's how far behind I am. I haven't actually shared my Scrap Your Day photos from August yet, never mind September and October. And don't even ask about the layouts! Oops... Still, better late than never, right?!

***Warning: This post contains housework. Sorry***

So, on 25th August...

I was woken by a knock on the door. Postie was delivering The Girl's new Leeds shirt. Next step was definitely to make a cup of tea!

Bible reading of the day: Jeremiah 27:

A quick scrub of the sink (rest assured that this is not what I usually do before breakfast!)...

...then Shreddies and a glass of apple, kiwi and lime smoothie:

Then I had a quick catch up on some blogs, and finished off our photobook with our Italy photos:

Then I couldn't put it off any longer. The oven desperately needed a good clean.

After that I'd definitely earned a cup of coffee and a quick chapter of my current book!

More housework (*sigh!*) I liberated Rose from her unexpected position within the gas fire, and then ran the vacuum cleaner round the downstairs rooms:

The Children had spent their leftover holiday money on some lego sets, which also arrived on in the post 25th August. So did Series 4 of Dr Who on DVD, a belated birthday present for me - and my puzzle magazine!

The Girl had a friend over to play that day; I took them to a local sandwich shop so they could choose some lunch:

I tried the bean salad that I really didn't like, and some cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches which I did like!

Then I had an apple and a slice of lemon drizzle cake:

...followed by a cup of coffee and a few cherries:

...before loading up the dishwasher and sorting out some paperwork (stamping over the addresses so letters could be safely recycled:

Time to take The Girl's friend back home! And then work through a puzzle or two in my new magazine :-)

Dinner was a simple plate of pasta with bacon, mushrooms and garlic, followed by another slice of lemon drizzle cake (well, they were small slices!)

After dinner, I showed The Doctor the finished photobook so he could approve it and we could order it! Then I viewed a Me:TAV video from Cathy Zielske.

Time to empty the dishwasher...

...then snack on some grapes and enjoy a cup of decaf tea.

And then (quite late!) The Father arrived for a visit :-)

I am so pleased this post came with a warning at the start - I knew when to avert my eyes ... such a sensitive thing I am ;-)

I second the questions from Kate.

You certainly know how to pack it in Mel. Activities I mean, not lemon drizzle cake. Of course :)

I feel about as behind in reading blogs as you feel with your Scrap your Day posts ;) Good to see another one, I've missed them.
I've been wanting one of those Hide ID stamps - do you remember where you got it?
