Harry Potter giveaway

Hello, everyone :-) It's taking me longer than I expected to get back to 'normal' - the latest symptoms of this virus-y cold-y lurg-y thing appear to be sinus congestion and getting tired easily, and looking at a screen for too long makes my head ache, so I'm not spending a lot of time online at the moment :-( Apologies if your blog is one of those I haven't managed to visit yet, or if your email is still languishing in my inbox! I haven't forgotten you, I promise, and I will be in touch with you soon xx

But I did mention a little Harry Potter related giveaway, didn't I?! I went to see the new film on the day it was released, and the cinema was giving away these sets of postcards, designed to promote the new editions of the HP books. I think the idea is that the cards show the cover illustrations of these new editions? But I just liked them! So I picked up two sets, with you in mind ;-)

If you'd like one of the sets, just leave a comment here on this post telling me which of the 7 books was your favourite - I'll pick a random winner on Wednesday (December 1st) some time after 5pm GMT, so make sure you've commented by then if you want to be in the draw. Entrants welcome from anywhere in the world. Good luck!

i love the last one as it ties up all the loose ends, and they all live happily in wizard land ever after.

Sorry to hear about being under the weather. Hope you get better soon.
I would say the third one was my favorite, but the last one evoked such emotions to me. I cried within the first twenty minutes of reading it and kept thinking about it, even now.

Sorry to hear you've been poorly. You have my sympathies especially if you have been as poorly as M has been this week :-(
Still waiting to see the latest film. Have finally decided on a suitable date and so next need to arrange the baby sitter. Looking forward to seeing it.
Hope you feel better soon,
Hugs

Ooh ive been to see it twice and didnt see these :( I would adore them! I have a Potter memorabilia collection. My best item is a few bits of the actual film reel from the first film!! Also the collectors edition of Tales of Beedle the Bard too (the £50 version yikes!) Get well soon Miss Mel! OK, favourite book was definitely Half Blood Prince, written so well, extremely revealing and a beautiful twist at the end. HP7 took me ages to get my head around so whilst I am loving the film so far, 6 was my favourite book!

Do take care of yourself! It took me forever to get over pneumonia last year. My favorite book was the Prisoner of Azkhiban. Just loved all the characters in that one so much.

My son would love this collection. It's hard to pick just one but I'll go with Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. But the last one was so great!

I hope you feel better soon.

I lost my senses of smell and taste after one of those nasty viruses. My doctor wasn't in the least bit bothered even when I said that all I can smell is woodsmoke. He doesn't get that waking up in the night and smelling woodsmoke is a bit scarey when you don't know if it is just your wacky senses or if the house is on fire.

I have to say my favorite book is the first one because it created the whole Harry Potter world, Hogwarts, the friendship between Harry, Ron & Hermione. We say the new movie the day it was released here in the US (we watched the first six throughout the week or so before!). Glad you are feeling some better.

I can never remember what each book is called, so I'm going to say the one with the tri-wizard tournament because my fav line in the entire series is when Ron is talking about who to invite to the Ball and he says "We don't want to end up with a couple of trolls". Makes me laugh every time.

Hope you do start feeling a lot better soon.

I do hope you are feeling better now. I'm full of cold myself but since the schools are closed and the buses not running well because of the snow I can just indulge myself indoors.

My favourite book is the third because it is such an example of good conquering evil.

My favorite was the last one. I felt it ended the wonderful series perfectly although it made me so sad :(

I loved that world and can't wait to go back into it (in otherwords, re-read the series). ;)

I have only read the first book! I don't know if it's an aversion to pop culture, or no time (my current read has taken nearly two months of bedtime reading)

get well soon!
