Day 1 of the inspection! It was 2 days altogether. This was the day when I was involved; I didn't have a lesson observation (thank goodness, as that's the most stressful part of the whole thing for a class teacher) but I had to meet with the inspectors to talk about my role within the school and the impact of the various strategies that I coordinate (such as the 1:1 tuition, RM Maths programme, and so on).

One of my friends, who is also a parent of 2 children in the school and a school governor, had kindly baked a lemon drizzle cake for us to help us through the day!

Well done. Can't tell you how happy I am that ours are now over (both Hubby's school and my college were 'done' in November!)As you know - we can't share results yet, but everyone is very relieved

well lemon drizzle cake would have made the OFSTED exam seem like a walk in the park..............not!!! I remember they came for a whole week and we had to have lesson plans, tutorial plans, super duper boards, year plans, clean and presentable students, what in 6th form, ah memories.
Jo xxxx
ps:went thru it twice.

I remember Ofstead at my boys primary school, the children were completely stressed being shouted at and 'primed' for inspectors questions! They had to walk slowly, line up neatly, no talking always smiling!!!!!! What a farce. I can't remember the results now. I never liked that school anyway, Glad it's all over for me and for you Mel x
