So, on the 25th November:
Breakfast was a toasted (English) muffin with butter, and then I had to de-ice the car windscreen before setting off to work because as you can see it was 1.5oC!
First thing to do at work was make a cup of tea, and then while it cooled I printed off and photocopied the resources I needed that day.
And the lessons began! With Year 3 I was exploring different methods of communicating (as part of an ICT module looking at email) and then I had a reading group:
Then it was (an extremely cold) break duty!
After that I had some PPA time. It gave me the chance to count the money raised so far from our 'Santa letters' - I'm in charge of making sure the letters get to Santa, and that he replies... ;-) It also gave me the chance to thaw out with a cup of coffee! And enjoy some dried apricots from Graze (I know they don't look terribly appetising, but they taste like toffees, yum!)
Next lesson was with Year 5. We'd finished our latest Maths Investigator case, hooray! Time to review all we'd learnt :-)
Then I had to dash off to a lunchtime meeting with a friend and the rector's wife, to talk about a new group we're thinking of setting up within church. The rector's wife had made tomato and pumpkin soup and bread, and served up cheese and fruit and some home baked flapjacks to go with our coffee, too!
(The meeting was very useful, too!)
Then I had to rush back to school for some 1:1 tuition with one of the Year 6 pupils. After that, I took The Children home and quickly did my Weekly Wordle:
It was the day of The Children's monthly reading group, so next we were off to the library. After dropping them off, I popped to the Co-op round the corner to get a few things we needed, then read my magazine in the library till reading group was finished.
Home again, and no more rushing around, thank goodness! I took a couple of tablets for my sinus-y headache, then made a start on preparing dinner. I had pasta with a cheese and tuna sauce, and a glass of pear and blackberry squash:
After dinner I helped The Girl with her homework then did the crossword in my magazine.
Then I remembered another magazine I got ages ago but never got round to reading! And some apple and grapes I hadn't got round to eating...
I put the dishwasher on then folded some washing.
Then I caught up on a few blogs before watching Have I Got News For You with The Doctor:
A mug of Dark Chocolate Highlights and a chapter or two of Pride and Prejudice, which I'm reading for about the 20th time!
Then it was time to make The Children's packed lunches for the next day, and heat up my wheat pack (which I definitely needed that night, one of the coldest in a long time!)
