Amy challenged us. I've seen a couple of people's responses already (apologies if I've missed yours) - here are mine; two very different layouts using the same template (kindly sent my way by Amy).
On Tuesday we went bowling as a family. I experimented with a few close up photos - plenty of duds, as the lighting in the bowling alley was atrocious, but there were enough reasonable photos to make this layout:
But I also used a photo and journaling from this post for a layout with a very different feel:
And I suspect I'll be using this template over and over again! Thanks, Amy xx
And while I'm being inspired by Amy, here's a layout I made the idea of which I completely stole from her, and indeed the layout itself is a total scraplift of her gorgeous design:
Thanks again, Amy - full credit to you for this entire post! xx
This is my post for the 29th day of Blogtoberfest - 29 days and still on track!

How can two identical designs for layouts look so different? The first is all bright and cheery and fun and the other is serene and thoughtful. I love the questions layout too, it's amazing how many questions a mum can be asked in a day isn't it?
ps did I ever share the story of the last time I went bowling? I ended up sliding down the alley on my bottom. Everyone was laughing at me, but boy did I have a bruise the next day!
I love what you've done with all 3 pages ~ I'll be using that simple design again, for sure. I'd also earmarked Amy's FAQ LO as one to scraplift.
I love the way photos and colors and fonts can change everything in the overall feel of a layout. There is such a marked contrast in these two and both are great!
I'm loving all the LO inspiration here today u have been busy. I love the 2 differnet interpretations of the first scraplift. The colour of the bowling balls and the lettering really come across well in the design and I adore the way u've designed the phot with the sea. Love your writing and LO on the 2nd one too. U guys have some fun going on in your houses.

Love the layout. May even have to scrapbook a page - LOL! Really like the variation of cutting one picture into six pieces! Such a clever girl.

Great layouts Mel - you scraplift beautifully! I love the serenity of the sea layout and I'm really drawn to your color combo for the questions layout.
I love your layouts! And you said the pictures on the first were experiments, well they are fab photos so keep experimenting!
Great pages Mel, I love how different they look :)
I love the questions!
Great pages, Mel! I have my blank template but nothing on it yet...still trying to decide which photos to use. I may use the ones that were shot today of my co-workers and I dressed in Halloween costumes. :o)
How clever are you to add drop shadows and clip an entire photo in the second layout!
So pleased I could be of scrapping service to you this week :-)
Love the bowling layout great title too.
The journalling on the sea one is really good made me wish I had said it.
Love that Bowling LO! Mel - you asked me a question about Colour class, yes I am still going to try and do at least one layout a week for Nic's class. I am so loving Shimelle's class though, I can see why she gets such good reviews (this is my first)! See you on the MB's!
Love all three of your pages, but I will have to say the ocean one is my favorite of the three. I can't get enough of the ocean. Good thing I live close to the coast.
gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous! Sadly I am too dim to do digi scrapping I think but I too am a fan of Amy's list of questions for a LO! I tried to see if people would ask me questions on Fb but it didn't really work!!
I love your take on Amy's LO, the sea one speaks to me, so beautiful.
great take on the template!!!!
