Give it away, give it away, give it away now....

I figured I'd probably end up doing a little giveaway as part of Blogtoberfest sooner or later - and while putting together a couple of my little notebooks yesterday I thought that while I was at it I could make one as part of a prize! So, here's the notebook you could win:

It's A6 size, has a fabric-covered front cover and a mountboard back cover to make it nice and sturdy, comes with plain white paper pages (I haven't counted how many pages but it's about half a cm thick PLUS the thickness of the covers) and has book rings holding it together. I like using book rings because you can easily add extra pages when you want to so the covers can live on after you've used up the first batch of paper! Or you can use it as a mini-album and slot in photos, ephemera etc if you wish....

You'll notice that it also has a ribbon tie to keep it neatly together? This is obviously a design feature and NOT the result of a lack of concentration on my part when punching the holes for the book rings (ahem....) I like the way it looks though and may start doing this for other notebooks in the future!

I will also include a few surprises in the package - some pretty papers, embellishments, maybe some chocolate - whatever nice bits and pieces I can find to include :-)

To enter, just leave a comment on this post. No need to follow my blog (though you're welcome to do so if you wish); no need to answer any questions; no need to spread the word (though again, you're welcome to do so!); just leave a comment to gain an entry. One entry per person, comments will close at midnight (GMT) on 31st October, and I'll pick a winner on 1st November. Good luck!

I'd also just like to point you towards Amy's forthcoming blog hop in case you haven't already come across it. Amy has published a beautiful post to set the scene of this hop and I couldn't possibly phrase it better than she has, so please do follow the link; the theme is food, so I'm definitely in (this will be no surprise to regular visitors!!) If you want to be a part of the blog hop then you need to email Amy by Thursday 7th October to express your interest (details are within her post). If you miss that deadline or don't feel able to share a post then do please still visit us on Sunday 24th October so you can follow along - expect to go away hungry!!

This is my post for the 3rd day of Blogtoberfest - 3 days and still on track!

Hey - I'm the first to leave a comment so maybe this will mean good luck for me with your giveaway. I love the notebook, Mel! Ribbon and all! xo

The ribbon is clearly an essential part of the book, how ever would you keep everything neatly together without it? ;-)
Are you still choosing winners by hamster power? Or is he not fully trained yet?!

One of my fave things about your blog is your honesty... everyone would have thought the ribbon a fab feature and thought no more about it! A great notebook and a gorgeous colour mix. Thanks for offering us all a bit of candy xxx

That is a great notebook, Mel! I love the ribbon - so useful, yet so decorative! It's a fab way to fasten the book. You know, many of the best inventions in the world were found by accident - so you're in great company!
The fabric on the cover is really lovely - so colourful and Autumnal!

Mel, I love that little ribbon opportunity that presented itself to you. That reminds me of the post I read today from Ali Edwards blog. She is protesting perfection. In the case of your lovely notebook its Bye-bye perfection, Hello Beauty!

I was just thinking it was a clever idea to have the ribbon there because nothing annoys me more than notebooks in my bag when all the pages start getting bent and crumpled! I'd love to have my name added to the list too :) Thanks for another great giveaway. xx

Thanks for the link to your blog from Shimelle's class. What an adorable notebook/journal! The colors are absolutely perfect for this time of year and the ribbon closure is a wonderful finishing touch.
Although I adore the notebook, please don't enter me in the giveaway since I live in the US and wouldn't want you to have to pay the overseas shipping.
