On 13th October I took The Mother to Ikea - I know, I spoil that woman! ;-) I only needed a few things, including a couple of height extension units for two of our bookcases - so this photo shows the assembly that was required when I got home.

I hadn't had time for breakfast beforehand, so we started out with a visit to Ikea's restaurant, where I grabbed a croissant and a coffee:

I recognise those bits and Ikea pieces. I wonder how many of them are used in a year - must be millions!
I just hate it when you finish something and then find one little part left over ... was it an extra in the packaging or do we have to dismantle the whole thing to find out where it should go????

ah the ubiqitous IKEA construction bits - those round things are a wonderful invention, so simple and so effective

We love Ikea - a trip there is a big treat in this house. Not so keen on their coffee, it's pretty strong stuff!

Oh, a trip to Ikea can be both fun and fraught with frustration ... I hope yours was the former.

That croissant looks delicious!! :D

Ha - I recognized that pile of parts as IKEA made right away. And I'm envious that you got to eat there. I always want to go to the cafeteria and Carrie hates it so we don't go. And don't even talk about Doug and IKEA! The only way he goes there is if I know exactly what I need, it's something I can't lift myself, and we're in and out! :o)
