On 14th September I learnt, observed and discovered...
- I got a place!!! Omigosh, I got a place!!!! I'm going to be in a workshop with Tim Holtz!!!!!
- It's so much easier to get up in the morning when the day begins with good news such as: hearing that you've got a place in one of Tim's workshops :-)
- The Boy doesn't 'get' the *happy dance* either...
- People are SO LOVELY! Really I learnt this on the 13th, but being slightly distracted (ahem) by the whole trying-to-get-a-ticket-to-see-Tim-Holtz thing (I got one, by the way!! Did I mention that?!) the lesson didn't sink in till the morning of the 14th. Special mentions and thanks to Jacky and Gez for their supportive and excited emails! xx
- Sometimes you can find a solution when you look at a problem from another angle. I still can't be in two places at once though
- Yep, that email still says that I got a place, it really is true!!
- My blogroll ate another blog! Blogger it....
- Good news in the morning can put a smile on your face all day :-) I had some good news on this particular morning. Did you hear? I got a place in a workshop with Tim Holtz!!
- Cooking dinner would be so much easier if we all ate the same thing...
- If the open evening officially starts at 6pm, it will be completely packed by 5.50pm
- The Boy will want to spend most of the open evening in the science labs (though he will also want to pop into the ICT department)
- Gosh, choosing schools is tricky!
- Some photography tips. I quite like this new TV programme :-)
- It's possible to be excited about good news all day long! For example, today I had some good news: I'm going to be going to a Tim Holtz workshop!! And I have indeed been excited about it all day long :-)

Mel, you're so funny! I think The Doctor may have a point ...
I would be just as excited to attend a TH class. I can't wait to see what you learn. His techniques are amazing.
I think it's about a week before you're due to go that The Doctor will need to get really scared!!!
Totally agree with Jacky and what about the night before ! definitely no sleep! x
so awesome. wish he would come here though :x
I think it's the moment he realises that there will be shopping opportunities at this workshop that The Doctor will get really scared... ;-)
Yep, the Doctor is totally overreacting. I mean, come on, you got into a TIM HOLTZ class for Pete's sake! too funny Mel - your enthusiasm totally cracks me up.
I can't see anything unusual about this post and why The Doctor thinks you are obsessed I really can't think btw have you got a place on the TH Class? wasn't sure if you said so or not. lol
This is so cool, Mel. I guess I didn't realize that it was so tricky to get into a Tim Holtz class where you live. He's around here all the time, though I've never signed up for one of his classes. A funny story: Carrie and I were in a local scrapbook store one day a few years ago and Tim Holtz walked past us. We were both so star struck! haha. Neither of us mustered up the courage to say hello. I understand he's a really great guy and I know you'll have fun taking his class! Can't wait to hear all about it and see what you create with him! Congrats!!! xo
You're doing a workshop, you say? With some fellow? I don't know how I gleaned that from your post, but somehow I did.
It's good to see you so happy!
By the way, if The Children don't hate them, how about dropping a few glacé cherries onto the meringue peaks of the Baked Alaska (before it gets its burst of heat) - they look lovely peeking out.
Don't you have a Google Reader going, then? Are you missing out on the wonders of the "next" button?
I'm glad you got a place in the workshop you wanted, it'll be interesting to hear all about it
Hey, did you hear that Tim Holtz is doing a workshop near you? ;-)
We look forward to seeing samples of what he teaches you!
lol, I can feel your excitement! Hope the countdown to the class goes quickly!
Hi Humel
So glad we made it......it was a long journey on monday night but am still telling anyone who comes near my airspace the fact i will be at lord holtz workshop!!! Thanks for sticking with me great to know I am not alone in my obsession!! big hugs and thanks
kazxx
You will soooo love Tim! And I know what you mean about things disappearing from your blog roll. I use google reader and that happens sometimes, too.
Rinda
Hoorah, you have a place with Sir Tim!!! A friend of mine is gong & is too excited for words. I am not a great fan of altered Tim-type things but at CKU in Houston a couple of years ago, I did an altered picture frame class with him & it was the best class - he is so relaxed & natural, you will thoroughly enjoy yourself!! Really happy for you :)
What's best about this post is that I've actually met you and, therefore, I can easily picture you waiting for your confirmation e-mail, as your gestures get obviously more excitable and you start to speak more quickly. The Doctor must have been especially patient with you since you got your confirmation!
And, my, what will you be like when you've been? :)
OMG! I am so on the same wavelength!! I did not even know that Tim Holtz was coming to Newport Pagnell & it's only down the road from me...if I'd known I'd have camped out for a place!!!
You lucky thing...I cannot wait till February to hear all about it!!! I think you are going to be unbearable from now till then...does The Doctor fully appreciate the enormity of the situation?!!!
Ok, ok .... calm down woman!!!
Yes, Jacky is right, The Doctor should probably clear out when the class comes closer!
If you're like this now. OMG. What will you be like on THE day??? PS. We have one going into yr 7 too haven't even thought about open evenings. Too excited.
LOL!!! I'm quite sure Tim will live up to your expectations, but I hope he knows how high they are!
