Sunday Club, shopping and sleep (lack of) (revisited)

Lessons, observations and things I noticed on 12th September:
  • I am SO LUCKY to have my The Doctor xxxx
  • It's wonderful to feel 'free' from Sunday Club! (But I feel slightly guilty to be so happy about it too!)
  • It's good to be able to concentrate fully on a church service
  • There's always something new to learn, even from a very familiar passage
  • It's good to share coffee and chat with friends
  • My local Costco has a photo developing department and they'll be able to print off my digi layouts, yay :-)
  • It's impossible to go to Costco 'just to look around'...
  • It's so much harder to stick to resolutions of eating more healthily when your husband brings home an armful of treats!
  • 'Races' can still work to get The Girl to do something she doesn't want to do (such as go up to bed) - just say, 'I'm going to win!' and she's off :-)
  • I love my The Doctor xxxx
  • Southampton have appointed Nigel Adkins as their new manager
  • Early nights are only effective if you can actually get to sleep :-(

Hear hear.. this is my justification for so many late nights!

I have never been to Costco.. but I know they do the most divine sultana scones as my friend bought some for a tea party and everyone was convinced they were home-made. :)

Oh, so many early-night promises first thing in the morning which turn into just-five-more-minutes by bedtime. I sympathise.

But now I actually am tired so bed for me.

At least, some time in the next hour.

Or two.

Thank you for your kind comments on my blog. We all question sometimes but the answers come to us in the end.

Yes,early nights are only effective if you can get to sleep- so true - lovely lessons learnt by you- I really must think more as I feel a bit boring on the learning front.

We have Costco here now too - I should check and see if they print here as well ... great thought Mel!

I can just see 'Melsh' races to and from all chores ;-)

yep - races work. So does the reverse psychology thing... "I bet you can't put that shirt on by yourself" was heard around here a lot back in the day. This does NOT work with teenagers however. My favorite has always been "Don't you dare smile. Oh no, don't even think about smiling..." ALWAYS provoked a smile no matter how grumpy the little one was. Works sometimes on teenagers.

I love Costco! They always have things I desperately need, even if I don't know I need them before I go in. If you go at the right time you can try all the samples and not need to stop for lunch on the way home LOL oh and the Christmas stuff is just fabulous
