The inside of the fridge door! I prefer 'red milk' (skimmed) and The Doctor and The Children prefer 'green milk' (semi-skimmed), so we always have both kinds in stock. For a while, when The Children were small, we also had 'blue milk' (full-fat) available but we've got it down to these two now.

While we were away I ate a lot of lovely fresh fruit, including nectarines, and it reminded me how much I like them. So I had one on August 23rd :-)

Nectarines and peaches are some of my favourite things about summer :-)

I haven't had a nectarine in years!!! I'm going to go shopping later and buy some as I forgot how lovely they are. Thank you Mel for the reminder xx

We also used to have full-fat milk when the kids were little. We eventually switched to 1% milk and managed just one kind in the fridge... until the oldest developed severe lactose intolerance. When she is home, we also stock soy milk. Amazing all the alternatives at the grocery store these days!

Most of the calcium that comes in milk is found in the cream so skimmed is definitely not a good thing for growing children - unless they are getting extra in yogurt and stuff.
We use semi-skilled milk but we are old and neither of us has osteo-porosis

Ah, yes, the 3 kinds of milk family, that's us! DS actually says, "Red for Daddy, green for Mummy and blue for {insert name}."
