On August 22nd we had a family communion service at church. I loved these questions and responses, designed for children to ask the questions and adults to give the responses, summing up what communion is and why we share it :-)

That evening, The Doctor took me out for a belated anniversary celebration; we'd had a lovely meal while on holiday, but having The Children with us made it harder to enjoy time just for the two of us! For dessert I chose the creme brulee with lemon shortbread, and the waitress also brought me a little portion of yummy Bailey's ice cream on the side - long story, but she got a good tip from us at the end of the meal!

I'm trying to guess where that could be! Lemon shortbread sounds yum!

Yummm. I haven't had creme brulee in forever. I'm glad to know we're not the only ones that occasionally have an anniversary dinner with their children. It's not the same but sometimes it just works out that way :)

Bailey's Icecream is fabulous - but have you tried Guinness flavour? I'm glad you got a little quiet celebration.
