Happy blogiversary to me, happy blogiversary to me!!

COMMENTS NOW CLOSED! Winners will be announced shortly...

Yep, today is my blogiversary :-) I can't believe I've only been blogging for a year! I first started this blog as a place to share my work for Shimelle's Learn Something New Every Day class (the start of which I'm currently eagerly awaiting; it was the first online class I did, and it got me completely addicted - I've now got nearly all of her classes and have worked through most of them!)

Blogging has come to mean a lot to me. It's lovely to have a place to gather my thoughts, to share my projects and photos, to collect together ideas for layouts, to record my memories and journaling, to develop my writing style, and to 'meet' so many interesting, inspiring and creative people. I've made some great blog friends and I value each of you :-)

I haven't run a giveaway in a while! I sort of meant to do one to celebrate 500 posts, or maybe 100 followers, or perhaps 10 000 blog hits - but somehow each of those landmarks passed by.... But my blogiversary is definitely something I want to celebrate, and to help you celebrate with me, I have some prizes on offer :-)

Firstly, it seems fitting to offer a place in Shimelle's class, as that's what got my blog going in the first place!

Prize: One place in Shimelle's Learn Something New Every Day class, which begins 1st September 2010

(If the winner has already signed up to this class we'll talk about alternatives - for example, you could give your spot to a friend, or choose another Shimelle class to the same value or less.)

And then, as I mentioned above, I've made some lovely new friends through blogging. The first was the lovely and talented Jess, who, in a happy coincidence, has just opened an Etsy store! I was straight over there to order myself one of these little beauties, and I'd like to offer another as a prize to a lucky winner.

Prize: One glass necklace by the lovely Jess

And finally, I shall put together a little package of goodies - crafting materials and a handmade gift or two. No photo to show because I haven't started to gather this one yet! But I hope previous winners will vouch for the fact that I usually manage to put together a really nice little goodie bag ;-)

Prize: Assorted crafting goodies, including at least one handcrafted item made especially for the winner

I haven't quite decided yet whether to have a 'winner takes all' arrangement where one lucky entrant will receive all three prizes, or whether to share the happiness and choose three winners. It may depend on the number of entries!

Here's how to enter: Just leave a comment on this post, telling me one of your highlights of the last year. One entry per person, and you must please share a highlight of the year to be eligible for the draw! The deadline will be 5pm UK TIME on Monday 30th August: I will pick the winner(s) and announce them as soon as possible after that time. Good luck!

Happy blogiversary!!
Hmm the highlight of my year so far would definitely be giving birth to my first child. I'm loving motherhood (& now have more photos to scrap.... just no time to scrap ;) lol)

Happy Blogaversary! And here's to many more

One of my highlights definitely has to be posting my first blog entry and discovering that someone had actually read it!

Congratulations Mel on a wonderful year of blogging!

Starting my blog has also been a highlight in the past year .... I giggled when I read Sian's comment, I too wondered if anyone would ever read my blog. I used to feel really nervous every time I pressed 'publish post' ... now it has become an almost daily ritual!

Another highlight has been all of the wonderful women I have met throughout the world, I feel so inspired by all of the stories and craft we are able to share.

Happy blogiversary! Hard to believe it's only been a year.

My highlights of the year - first - moving to Eastbourne - I love it here! Second - joining Stampin' Up! as it's given me the push I needed to start my own classes, along with enabling me to meet some lovely people.

Thanks for the chance to win something lovely (and showing me how to run a giveaway!) ;o)

Happy Blogiversary! Highlights? I would say reaching my 25th wedding anniversary, although the actual day was a bit of a disappointment. Starting to learn to use the various features of my DSLR camera. Meeting so many fabulous people online. Two newly minted drivers in my household.

Well first off, HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY! Secondly, thanks for the chance to win this lovely giveaway in celebration of your milestone! :o)

When I think back over the past year I would definitely say that blogging has been a highlight for me. I have loved every minute of it - getting to know women with similar interests from all over the world was an amazing surprise. I never expected it when I started my blog almost 2 years ago.

Here's wishing you many more happy blog years, Mel!!! You are a treasure. xo

Happy Blogaversary, may you continue to blog forever.

Highlight of last year, well it has to be rediscovering my MOJO - it disappeared 11 months ago and popped up last Monday, fired by a LSN 2010 reminder.

I'm so happy to be scrapping again.... trouble is I've got 11 months to catch up on (and that includes birth of another grandson LOL!)

Last Christmas I was really sad that both of my adult children would not be spending Christmas at home. They both had other plans. Mama was really sad. My husband and I enjoy a Christmas Brunch with family and then headed to our home away from home at the beach. We arrived in time for the most beautiful winter sunset on Christmas night. It was the perfect ending to a wonderful day. I still missed the kids but enjoyed the Christmas my husband and I shared togehter.

What a great way to celebrate your blogiversary - giving away three great prizes!

One of the highlights of my year was also starting a blog (about 7 months ago). It's given me a place to write and share about all the other highlights!

Happy Blogiversary! Has it only been a year? I seem to have been learning 'Melsh' for so much longer!! I mean that in the nicest way possible!!! LOL!!! Long may it continue!

My highlight of the past year? Well I guess it has to be my trip to Chicago! I know it probably should be something nice & family orientated, but I have to admit it really does dwarf everything else!!!

I'm getting ready for LSNED too...I sugned up last year but didn't actually get to take part in the end!! See you in the forum!

Oh my goodness - a year's worth of Melsh!
Highlights of the year? My niece giving birth to her gorgeous little girl after the heartbreak of losing a baby the year before. That's got to be a high point. My husband being offered another position with the company he works at after being told he was going to be made redundant - that was a pretty good moment too!

Happy Blogversery to you!

My highlight is starting a blog. Mine began in January. I also get a thrill whenever I see some one has stopped by and left a post. I notice you have stopped in to visit and that was VERY exciting to see.

Happy blogiversary, has it only been a year, I thought you were a well weathered blogger (only in blogging terms of course ;)
My highlight of the year was probably last week, my eldest & I were admiring a scent of fresh baking while out when he said it smelt like when I cook. As the baking aroma was gorgeous it was a huge compliment for me :)

Happy Blogday!

Highlight of the year is tricky? Just one? Can I have living in London? Then that includes the Proms, the plays, the museums, the parks, the coffee shops, the restaurants...

Picking one? Last Night of the Proms

As a previous winner of a little bag of goodies, I'm stepping up to the mark to do my Vouching. And not entering this time as it would be Bad Form to win twice (as well as ruining your keyboard with my disastrous advice (that was one of the most ingenious comments I've ever received)).
