Texture

Today I learnt something else new! I'm loving the LYPLYP class :-)

Today I learnt how to turn this:

into this:

by following Shimelle's excellent instructions and using a texture by pareeerica (thank you to you both! x)

That's lovely, Mel! I'm not at all sure I am going to be able to achieve a result like this... I am still struggling to get to grips with Photoshop (though today I did manage to work out how to blur/smudge something I didn't want on a picture). The prompt is great and very well explained, but I'm not confident that I can produce such a lovely result as you have.
Still, I can try...

Nice photo, but really lovely after your texture effect is applied!

I've long been a fan of pareeerica's textures - have you checked out her actually photostream too? It's absolutely amazing!

Looking forward to seeing all the amazing things you'll be coming up with too...

Oh so pretty, Mel!!! We have been re-doing our floors and my house is in shambles and I haven't been able to participate (or PLAY) with Shimelle's class like I thought I would when I signed up. I am enjoying seeing what you (and the others in the class) are posting.

Jo - this was by no means the first photo I'd tried the technique with....

Cheri - this is a tealight holder that was on our table at my friends' wedding recently :-)
