For the past few years The Father has given me a Moleskine diary/planner for my birthday :-) This is a tradition I've been keen to encourage because I love the page layout of these diaries and I love the quality! My birthday isn't till August but The Father gave me my gift early when he saw me at my cousin's wedding, as we weren't sure when we'd next get the chance to meet up - and because the (academic year) diary starts at the beginning of July. I spent some time on July 2nd transferring details of birthdays, anniversaries, meetings and other commitments from my old diary to this new one.
Foodwise.... Well, you already know I have some strange habits. You coped fairly well with porridge made with just oats and water. Dry toast wasn't really a problem for you. You could even handle empty toasties. So I'm emboldened to share - cold mint hot chocolate. (What?! The weather was too warm for HOT chocolate, that would just have been weird!)

I probably wouldn't do it but it makes perfect sense!
So .... what will the magic number be this August???
I'm with you on that one Mel, I think cold 'hot chocolate' tastes nice - like a chocolate milkshake only better! Mmmm I'm off to have one now!
One of my regrets about moving to a digital calendar (I use an iPod Touch) is no longer needing a hardcover calendar. Choosing a new one each year was really quite a favorite exercise!
Euw! Though I suppose it's a bit like milkshake really.
I LOVE getting new diaries and notebooks, like when it used to be first day of term and you got all new books!Yours looks fab- not too sure on the cold choccie, but then I don't like hot that much!
I just bought a new datebook yesterday. Usually they do 16 month ones that start in Sept but this time I found some that start in July.
If the hot chocolate were made with milk, I can go there, if made with water, I can't
