Oh joy.... One of the schools had an 'information evening' on June 29th so I went along to find out a bit more. I was suitably impressed but we won't make any decisions until after we and The Boy have looked through the prospectuses and made visits to several possible schools - so I can put off thinking about it again till September :-)
That day was also my last German class of the year. A few of us took in cakes to share during our coffee break; I made Schwarzwalderkirschkuchen (Black Forest muffins - chocolate muffins with fresh cherries, based on this recipe):

Now that's a recipe I'll be coming back to..The Tall One and his friends have what they call a "Cake-Off" at the end of term in German class and this would be perfect
mmm, those muffins look good, thanks for the recipe :)
yum! That is a recipe I'll have to try!
Scary school stuff. We have to apply for primary school for Jacob in September. I feel a bit sick at the thought of my little boy going to school.
