June 27th was the hottest day of the year so far!

It was a lovely day for the hog roast held by our church:

As I sit here typing this, the rain is pouring down outside - how can weather change so quickly? The beauty of living in the UK I guess! Thanks for reminding me what sunshine looks like and that hog roast looks delicious.

Did you use one of those 5 point star filters for your picture? It looks great!

Love that photo Mel, so clever.

Thanks for your lovely comments :-) Amanda, I don't even know what one of those filters is!! It's just how the pic came out of the camera, with natural sunflare :-)

Great job on the first photo, Mel. It even LOOKS hot! We're getting real sick of the heat around this time of year in Arizona. It seems never ending but we know October will be here before we know it!

Beautiful sun flair, Mel!!!

Deleted my prior comment because my fingers did not type what my mind said. LOL

love the sunburst - i thought you must have used a star filter too! (i just bought one but haven't had a chance to use it yet :)

Then that pic is even more awesome without the use of one of the filters!

It's been unbelievably hot here for nearly a week. It's supposed to cool down a bit tomorrow and I'll be grateful. Your photo is wonderful; love the flare and dinner looks delicious!
