This one time, in boot camp...

...I decided to focus on photography. There were so many media I could have picked, but I wanted something I could guarantee to have time for, and my life is so busy right now I'm just not sure I'll have time to paint or cut or stick or scrap or sew. But hey, I might just return to the prompts with a different medium at some point later on :-)

My plan is to just experiment a bit, have some fun, try out some of the different settings, get out of auto mode, and pick my favourite shot for each prompt. And I'm maybe going to incorporate some of the things I've been learning from 12 Weeks To Better Photos. And I hope I'll make some progress with my photography skills through boot camp too!

So, ivory. My first thought was elephants, but my second was a piano keyboard - and as we don't have any elephants but we do have a keyboard, I went with that one:

f/2.8, 1/4 sec, ISO-100

Your post title actually made me laugh out loud. Luckily no one is here to wonder what I'm laughing about. Great job with the photo!

Great angle on the photo. I'm not feeling that inspired so far ...

Great photo. Amy and I both took photos of keyboards as well and it's so interesting how different they all are.

Can't believe you didn't have an elephant around the house to photograph ;-)
Must be honest, I read the first prompt, had a moment of panic and haven't been back. Now feeling deeply ashamed!

Great shot Mel! I originally went with chess pieces but the good ones were already in the boxes somewhere never to be seen again and the little plastic travel set really wasn't doing it for me - the keyboard is a great choice!
