So I cheated.
This is actually a photo I took today, but I took it before seeing the prompt.... But my response to the prompt 'picnic', other than 'What the....???', was to think of the phrase 'xyz was no picnic' - as in 'xyz wasn't easy'! And right now, with my head aching rather, I'm thinking that teaching isn't exactly a picnic. This morning's lesson was very interesting, and lots of fun, but easy? Not the word that comes to mind!
There's a bonus that the lesson involved eggs, so here you are, a picnic egg.... ;-)
f/2.8, 1/75 sec, ISO-200
(And if you want to know what on earth the lesson was about, why eggs, why foam, and why the child was covered in black felt tip, look out for my Project 365 photo for today - it should post in about 10 days' time!)

Too funny Mel! I just drafted my blog post about bootcamp day #2, and I used the phrase "WTF?" I finally came upon an idea, and it will post at 10pm my time tonight - so you can see it tomorrow morning your time.
Rinda
That eggie looks as if it was enjoying the lesson very much... I hope that Humpty Dumpty's fate was not part of the lesson too...
1st too prompts not really what I expected but let my stream of consciousnes go where it would - cos noone is marking this work!
Your class looks lots of fun
Great idea,Mel....I'm afraid the prompts aren't speaking to me at all...I can see photography is the best medium for it...and most participants are using it...but it just isn't my thing at all....and not sure what other medium would work....so just sitting it out at present!!
Have to agree with your reaction to "picnic" - but my thought was also "xyz is no picnic" and I think I'm going to cheat and use an old photo.
Ah, you're back and cheerful! In fact, you're obviously back awhile but you'll excuse my tardiness as we have a bank holiday weekend here. And now I'm curious about what it is exactly that you teach...?
Love this post! Great photo, love the face on the egg. Anesha :)
I like the idea of your post...I love catching photos of my students for the display board when thay are unaware.....also have enjoyed many egg drop challenge lesson (not sure if that was what you were doing)
I have posted my day 1/2..the journalling is proving hard for me!
brilliant!! and you're right...teaching isn't a picnic ;-)
the Boot Camp sounds fascinating! i can't wait to see what the class was about and how eggs got involved...
BTW: i'm a HUGE fan of the diagonal line!! it's the most dynamic line between the three - vertical, horizontal and diagonal =-)
I always make egg salad for picnics so it makes perfect sense to me
I think it probably turned out to be a great choice for you Mel. Prompt 2 was easier for me than 1, well, that is until what I wanted to photograph didn't look like it was going to work - thankfully it eventually did! Like Rinda - you'll see it Tuesday morning your time :-)
Sounds like it's going to be a good one.
Great photo and post.
