Bloom and grow

Now that I've decided to link the creative prompts with some journaling (even if the journaling doesn't get shared here) I'm definitely approaching boot camp in a slightly different way. I had several 'photographic' ideas in response to the word grow; one of them didn't lend itself to journaling at all (not at the level of previous prompts, anyway), and the other two would take me in very different directions. I mulled over which of the two to go with and in the end decided to just pick the better photograph!

f/8, 1/13 sec, ISO-100

(I bought these tomatoes earlier this week, for a recipe I'm making tonight; I didn't set out to buy tomatoes on the vine but all the loose tomatoes were still attached in groups like this, which better fit the prompt anyway!)

I'll save the journaling for the art journal I eventually plan to make, but for anyone who might be interested, I plan to talk about the beauty of nature and how I often feel very close to God while admiring his creation :-)

I feel like I could almost reach out and touch them that is such a good picture.
Now imagine them on a baking sheet next to some salmon fillets topped with pesto and breadcrumbs with some roasted baby new potatoes ....

You got great focus on these. I find tomatoes hard to photograph off the vine!

That's another fab food photo Mel. It's great to be able to see the "fruits" of all that practice you've been doing :)
