May 27th was Sports Day at The Children's school. All the pupils are in one of four 'Houses'; over the year they can earn merit points for their House, and on Sports Day they compete as Houses too. I was in charge of recording the points earnt for each race and adding them all up at the end! I had nothing to do with actually deciding who had come first, second or third though, thankfully - some of the races were very close and hard to call.
The Boy came third in one of his races and The Girl came third in both of hers - they and I were very proud :-) Their House didn't win overall though, despite me being in charge of those scores... ;-)
Sometimes it can be hard to decided what to photograph to represent my day. Sports Day was a big and important part of May 27th, but so was going out for a staff meal in the evening to say goodbye to a teacher who was leaving to work in another school. Fortunately I can still record this by including a pic of the delicious chicken tikka I enjoyed as a starter:

Sounds like sports day was fun. Food looks yummy. Enjoy your Sunday. Anesha
I think I would've liked sports day more when I was at school if we had a spacehopper race.
I used to hate Sports Day as a child....but loved it as a parent and teacher.....my kids always seemed to find it fun.
Well done to the young ones on sports day and that Chicken Tikka looks very yummy xx
ooh a spacehopper race sounds cool, much better than a sack or three-legged race
Jo xxxx
