Scrap Your Day April: The layout

And, as promised, here's the layout for April! The story of the day is here, and the layout is right here:

I think I maybe take too many photos!! I might need to look into that for future months - I'm finding that with each layout sketch I have to break up the big photos into lots of smaller ones, and then use lots of imagination to avoid making each layout just look like exactly the same grid.... But then, I do so much each day that I always want to pile on photos of all of it! I'll see where May takes me I guess :-)

Definitely do take lots of photos! No one says the layouts have to be different and the February one is actually my favourite. It's going to be a wonderful record at the end of 2010.

You could use the Flickr Mosaic tool (the one I use to make my mosaics) and print them as one block. You'll still be able to use smaller photographs, but you'll have different layout options.

So. Um. That's my top tip x

I'm so impressed with all the photos you take. I'm working on A Week in the Life this week. I find I'm going in spurts---lots of photos for awhile and then I get busy doing things and totally forget to take any! Your pages look great.

I always find the culling process difficult but I think the format you chose can support a few or many pictures so don't worry too much!

Hey there,
there is NEVER too many photos--I mean, it gives you options.
I agree about the flickr mosaic or even the picnik tool. Or picasa maybe?

Good luck, and thanks for sharing!

I don't think it really matters if the pages look similar. The photos are the main attraction rather than the design on this one :)
