I have another question!

This is such an interesting game of blog tag! I nearly picked Kai to pass my questions onto yesterday but thought 10 nominees was more than enough; luckily Cheri chose her anyway - and she's passed it back to me! So here are her questions and my answers:

1 - What’s in your garden, and if nothing, why not?
Um. Weeds mostly. I'm far from being a natural gardener. We have lavender bushes along the front, and a tiny patch of straggly grass with a few discarded plastic toys out back. And that's it really...

2 – What’s your favorite retro era and why?
Probably the 60s; I like the fashion (though that doesn't mean I'd wear it!) and some great music came from that period.

3 – What’s your favorite thing to do for pure entertainment (e.g. see the Opera, movies, have some beer at a pub with your friends, etc.)
Blogging! Creating posts for my own blog, and hopping round other people's :-) But there are many runners-up: crafting (of various kinds), reading, watching TV, baking...

4 – Do you have pets? If yes, what kind and why do you have them? If no, why not?
Oh yes, we have The New Hamster :-) I've had hamsters for most of my adult life - I love that they each have their own distinct personality! I love having pets and hamsters are easier to look after than most.

5 – You have a secret. Does it eat at you and you have a hard time keeping it in, or does it settle well and it’s safe with you forever?
I'm very good at keeping secrets. Secrets are very safe with me. But oh, it can be so tempting to talk about it!

6 – If you could have professional help in any way, what would it be (e.g. professional landscapers, professional cleaning crew, professional chef, etc.) and why?
A cleaner. I really do not like housework! I'd love for someone to come in, whizz around and leave everything clean, tidy and sparkling... But of course, in reality, I'd have to get everything to a certain level of cleanliness and tidiness before I could let a cleaner in, so how much would I actually gain?!

7 – What one actor or actress, still alive, would you want to have a private dinner with and why?
Hmmm. I think I'd probably have to go for Alan Rickman, he's an amazing actor and I'm sure would be very entertaining.

8 – You are behind a locked door, perfectly safe for as long as you need to be. Something on the other side of the door gives you a weird feeling… a little scary, a little exciting… makes the hair on your skin stand on end, you don’t know if it’s good or bad. Would you open the door and confront it, or would you stay behind the door forever? (Deep one, huh?)
This is *such* an interesting question!! I think I'd be a wimp and hide behind that door - but curiosity might get the better of me in the end...

9 – If you could go back in your past and change one single thing within your power to change, what would it be?
I'm not really sure. My past is what makes me who I am today, and right now I'm both content and happy.

10 – What’s your favorite dessert? Please, be descriptive. :) I have a sweet tooth today.
It does depend on my mood - chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream is usually a winner though! Smooth, creamy ice cream with little pieces of chocolate and soft, sweet chunks of cookie dough, mmmmm.....

Kai kindly said that I didn't need to nominate anyone else to answer questions, as I already did that yesterday! But I'd like to invite anyone who's interested to have a go - pick these questions or some of those on my post yesterday and share your answers with us :-)

I saw that question about professional help and wondered exactly what it meant. Probably because we have a psychologist in the family...:)

Yes, my project will be finished for Sat

I'm still working on my answers for you!! And I confess to having a cleaning lady (when she turns up!) ~ I inherited her when I married DH. Lucky me!

LOL to Sian's comment above! Hey, if you could have psychiatric help too... more power to ya! I know I benefit from a good dose now and then. LOL! Great answers, thanks!!

A great set of answers, to a great set of questions!
I had to laugh at your comment about a cleaner! I'm pretty well the same... I would like to have a cleaner (I don't just now), but when I did, I spent far too long stressing about how messy the house was, before she came and trying to clean & tidy up so she wouldn't think we were a lot of messy pigs! The whole point was that I couldn't do the housework, so needed the help... yet I still got paranoid about it. It was rather a relief when she stopped coming - though now I have to try and do the cleaning myself (at least it's my mess, on my own terms!)

I would love to have a professional decorator come to my house & redo it. It's not my area. There are things I like, but I can't expand that to house decor size. Just my living room would be sufficient. Someone come decorate my living room
