House Party Blog Hop

Welcome to my little corner of blogland! If you've come my way from Sian you're already following the blog hop, excellent. If you've started here, then read on to find out what it is we're doing...

I'm so pleased to be taking part in this blog hop! I love Rinda's work and have been admiring her little houses in particular, so when she offered to send some of us a 'house kit' to have a go for ourselves I leapt at the chance! :-) And just look at all the goodies there were in my kit:

I had a fun time just rearranging them on my coffee table for a while before making a few fundamental decisions about which paper to use for walls, roof etc. Here's the work in progress:

I decided to use the stamp images as 'windows', which led to the title fly away home!

Here are a few close-ups of the details:

And lucky me, I still have lots of lovely bits and pieces left over from my kit to use on other projects! :-)

If you want to see what other people have made with their house kits (and I know I do!!) then here are the links you need:

From here, call in on Deb at Deb's World.
From there, it's Deb at Paper Turtle.
Next up is Karen of Random Reflections;
after that, pop over to Cherry of Nights Dream;
from there, visit Sharyn of Living Artfully.
She'll point you towards Julie at JuJu's Folly.
Then head over to see Elizabeth at Hootings of an Owl;
followed by Amy, Over At Our Place;
and then Denise of Den's Crafty Diary.
Next go see what Rinda herself has made at Gallo Organico.
From there call on Kimberlee of Scrap and Sass;
then Jacky aka Scrappy Jacky;
and then Margi, The Maverick Crafter.
Next Liz will be waiting for you at Life at the Gables;
then it's onto Ruth of Everyday Life of a Suburban SAHM;
followed by Nancy of Squirrelyart;
and then Lizzie at Lizzie Made.
Finally, go see Sian of From High in the Sky - and she'll link back to me, completing the journey!

(If anyone doesn't seem to have built their blog house yet please do pop back and try their blog again later - the time difference and Blogger's peculiarities may mean that our posts don't all go live at exactly the same time, though we do hope to link up properly!)

A big thank you to Rinda for organising this, and especially for her generosity in sending us all the goodies to get started - I've had such a good time :-)

Fab! I love this little house, with its dear little roof, the cute chimney and stripey door. It's a great combination of colours too and such a good idea to use the "stamps" as windows.
A great little piece of artwork, Mel!
