Angels

Heather mentioned this idea on her blog and it really intrigued me :-) You simply go to where your pictures are stored on your computer, open the 8th folder there, and find the 8th photo in the folder. Here's the one I found:

It's actually a double image - I'll explain in a moment!

These photos of The Children were taken in December 2006. The way the Christmas plays, services etc work out at the school they go to is this: Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 work together to put on a play, Years 3 and 4 hold a Christingle service/performance, and Years 5 and 6 are responsible for running the end of term service at the church. As The Children are two school years apart the only time during their schooling that they were or will be involved in the same Christmas activity was when The Girl was in Reception and The Boy was in Year 2. Photos weren't allowed during the service but parents were invited to photograph their children afterwards if they wished to - but one class at a time, so I couldn't get the two of them together! I put the two images together like this ready for printing, then trimmed them and mounted them onto some of the Christmas cards we sent that year.

Oh, and The Boy was a shepherd, and The Girl was an angel (which was typecasting, clearly!!)

What's the 8th photo in your 8th folder of pictures? I'd love to see it! :-)

What a nice trip down memory lane, and I love the costumes!
I just checked out the 8th photo in my 8th file, and it's one of my favorites. I made a note of it, and maybe I'll blog about it later this week.
