Scrap Your Day: 3 of 12 (the day)

OK, a bit behind here.... Although March 25th happened before I went away, I just didn't get the chance to sort through the photos till now. The layout probably won't happen till The Children are back at school, either. But here's what happened through the day, while I can still remember!!

Began the day by cleaning the kitchen a bit. WHAT WAS THAT ABOUT??? I must have been light-headed, what with having a cold and not having slept too well... It was even before I took The Children to school! (I like that second photo. My legs look really skinny. They're so not, but the angle must be good or something!)

Got back and had a cup of tea and a bowl of Shreddies for breakfast.

Had to use two different kinds of ointment on a nasty flare up of eczema on my hand, bleh. And took some cold meds to stave off any further attacks of housework.

Read my Bible passage for the day (Mark 14:12-26) then did my blog Wordle. (That's an in-between stage you can see; the finished version is here.)

Took my usual monthly photo of the trees across the road - the day started off pretty cloudy, as you can see, though it did brighten up a bit later. I love that you can see from the silhouette that the trees are just starting to bud :-)

Cold meds clearly not taking effect yet, as I felt moved to do a bit more housework - vacuuming and cleaning out The Hamster. (How cool is The Hamster's cage?!)

Window cleaner came round about then. Luckily remembered not to dance like nobody was watching while emptying the dishwasher, even though The Black-Eyed Peas were on...

Then the lovely Clair arrived :-) Bringing cake!! I love Clair :-)

So we ate cake, and drank coffee/tea (me/Clair), and did some craft (I mostly worked on my ribbon topper tutorial)...

...and we drank more coffee/tea, and ate bacon and egg butties...

...drank yet more coffee/tea, and shared another cake...

...and then I remembered that I was supposed to be going to The Children's end of term Easter service, so Clair had to pack up. Looking forward to our next get-together though! :-) And I went to the church service, which was led by the Year 5 class, of which The Boy is a member. He played his part very well :-)

When we got back I put some washing on (the cold meds had worn off again) and had a drink of lemonade.

Then I put together a layout, photographed it, and uploaded the photos to my computer.

Checked Shimelle's class forum, then fed The Children and had some toast and butter to keep me going till The Doctor got home (he was working late, then going for a quick drink with friends after work).

Then I did a spot of photo-editing, adding Project 365 overlays, etc, while eating some yogurt raisins.

I also watched an episode of The Simpsons with The Children before packing them off to bed and folding the washing.

Then The Doctor got home, and we had Chinese takeaway and watched TV together for the evening :-)

Oh, and nearly forgot - I also read a bit of this book:

Have you ever read it? Or seen the film? They're both excellent (especially the film!)

Mel - we have to talk about all this housework you are doing. Clearly you were not well ;-)

I have the book and the movie, although my copy looks substantially less cool than your copy of the book. Eeek!

I'd like to think that my company, the cakes and the bacon butty were the highlights of the day. Especially when compared to housework and cleaning out the hamster! x

That was quite a cold you had - I could do with one like that so I could make myself do some housework!! ;o) I had thought I had an ally in you, with a mutual dislike of housework lol!! I feel betrayed ;o)

This all made me smile... there was a bit too much of the (whispers) *housework* here though.. but definitely not too much CAKE!
I saw the movie of The Princess Bride and loved it - it was so cool! I never thought to find out if there was a book though.. something to look out for then!
Thanks for sharing your day. I'll look forward to the next one.

Whew! What a lot of photos. I'm considering doing Ali E's Week in a Life next week, but the whole process seems a bit much, and to think all this was from one day!

I can't believe you managed to do all that when you were feeling under par! I'm quite scared actually :) That fucidin cream is brilliant isn't it.

Hmmm, love The Princess Bride, didn't know there was actually a book. May have to investigate.

Also love seeingyour pics of Transylvania - we went to Romania for Christmas in 2002 and learnt to ski and had a lovely time. A really interesting place to travel around!
