Edgy embarrassment

First, the edginess! Shimelle challenged us to use borders on a layout. Nancy had suggested the idea of a 'green' layout using my smoothie photo from this post so I started with that idea, and layered on lots of different green papers with as many different edges as I could manage!

From centre outwards:
  • plain straight edge on the photo
  • textured card with straight, sanded edge
  • patterned paper edged with scissors (1)
  • patterned card edged with Threading Water border punch and embossed card edged with scissors (2)
  • handmade paper with torn and feathered edge
  • vellum edged with scissors (3)
  • patterned paper edged with scissors (4)
  • textured card edged with heart border punch
  • a couple of large flowers folded over with the middle petal folded back
  • a piece of lace along the bottom edge

And now for the embarrassment.

I watch America's Next Top Model.

Did I just say that out loud?!

I think it began when I was channel-hopping and struggling to find anything I wanted to watch. I happened to pause on the first episode of whatever series of ANTM was showing just then, and despite my complete lack of interest in modelling, fashion, hair and make-up and girlie spats, I was hooked.... And now I watch every series.

Sorry.

So, for my I Have To Confess album, and following the Something From Almost Nothing prompt about transparencies, I printed an ANTM image onto acetate and cut an aperture from the page for it (to sort of represent a TV screen), and added a few buttons and ribbons and a rub-on title:

That makes nine confessions, so I'll make one more page and then think about how to put this album together! Look out for that confession later this week :-)

I did laugh at your latest confession ;o). Emily has taken to watching the Next Top Model from all the different countries and, I have to admit, I've been watching a lot of them with her. I do think the American one is probably the most "interesting". So don't worry, you're not alone ;o) xx

Love the ANTM layout! One of my confessions was about my addiction to reality shows - including ANTM. The photo shoots are always my favorite part of the show.
