Blog takeover

I blame Sian...

Hello, I am The Girl the daughter of The Mummy (tee hee!)! I love dogs, but not as much as Pokemon.... I use craft quite a lot! Before Easter, I made some Easter cards. One of them had a flower, the other an Easter egg.....

Once, I made a card with a hammerbead frog on it, and mummy sent a picture to a crafts magazine that she had been in quite a lot. The next magazine, mummy had a look and.... my card with the hammerbead frog was in the magazine!

We went to Transylvania, and stayed with The Docter's friend. When we went home, we went to a wedding in Wales, and I did a thing I never would have done if I didn't have to......

.....wearing a dress! I absolutley hate dresses! I prefer boys smart suits (although I haven't wore one!).

Moving on, you know I said I love dogs? Well, we can't have a dog for 3 reasons......
1.The Brother is allergic to dogs.
2.We're too busy to have one.
3.They just make too much mess!
"That is so unfare!" I say, but the answer is always simple: "We are NOT getting a dog."

Sighned,
The Girl

As typed. Unedited. Completely The Girl...

Thats a shame about the dog - but just be glad you don't have to pick up all that poop :) My children have to take turns doing that yucky job!! And you do have a very clever hamster!

I didn't like dresses much either when I was your age - I still don't really even though I'm very old now at 38!! but you do look very nice in that dress.

Nice to meet you,The Girl....and I completely agree with you about dresses...I only wear one when I have to....weddings...and sometimes parties...trousers are much better.
I'm sorry the mummy won't let you have a dog...we have 2...maybe she'd let you borrow one of ours....you can see them here

And completely awesome! So glad you posted. I'm trying not to let my daughter be a guest blogger, as she is not nearly as charming and well-mannered as you children from the UK.
But, it could happen . . .

Brilliant! Love that photo, and do tell The Girl that I'll bring the pooch to meet her next time we visit my mum!

Hi The Girl, it was lovely to hear from you. I have the opposite problem to you, I would love to wear dresses but I can never find ones that I like ;o). I think you look very nice in your dress :o)

As for the dog, I can understand where The Mummy is coming from because we have a dog and they can be a lot of work. We used to have two dogs but now only have one. She was a bit lonely for a while but is getting used to being on her own now. You could ask The Mummy to let you see our dog here

I look forward to hearing from you on The Mummy's blog again one day.

Lovely to meet The Girl. It was just like that with dogs when I was a girl ..... and now I'm grown up it's just the same for my Girl!

I hope we'll see your frog.

Nicely done, The Girl. Too bad about The Dog. Someday mayber you will be like my daugher and get one when you grow up and move out. :o) Thing is, she's moved back in for a little while and brought her The Dog with her. haha.

Too bad about having to wear a dress, although you do look very cute in it. :o)

Hi TG!
I know exactly what you mean about dresses .... my sister is getting married soon and I have to wear a dress - I have not worn a dress since my wedding which was nine years ago, I do not like them at all!
Such a pity about the dog, I have one and she is beautiful, fluffy, warm and wonderful to pat and hug. She does dig holes in the garden though and it is very annoying :-)

Completely the girl . . . and completely delightful. I wonder why so many girls dislike dresses, especially the girls who look so adorable in them! We're glad to have you as a guest blogger; hope you'll be back soon!

Well hello there! You certainly have made a wonderful job of your guest posting. I know another guest poster not too far from here who would love to have a cat but can't because her brother is allergic to them :( I'll get her to come and say hello to you when she comes home from school.

PS Imagine being in the magazine. Cool!

Dear 'The Girl', It was great to finally meet you after hearing about you from time to time from 'The Mummy'. Such a shame about the dog, especially with The Brother being allergic. I don't suppose you could swap him for one could you? Just a thought ;-)
My 23 year old 'The Girl' has been asking for a dog for years and I still give her the answers The Mummy is giving you. Except for the Brother being allergic, I can't use that one, but we still aren't getting one!
Was great to finally meet you, come back soon!

Great blogging 'the girl'. I rarely wear dresses even now and had to be forced to war them when I was a child I am such a tomboy and I still 'don't do pink'!! I would love a dog but think the reason we don't have one is the same 3 reason why you don't! When will we see your published work I am very impressed??!!

HI, I did a guest post on my mums blog at the weekend. Maybe you could pop along and have a little read? I loved your post! It was really cool! It is a shame about not being able to get a dog bt I am quite scared of them so I dont really fancy the idea! From The Small One
