And the reason we'd stayed at The Doctor's parents' house the previous night? We'd been invited to a wedding on April 3rd, and it was easier to travel from the airport to their house to the wedding then back home, than from the airport to home to the wedding then home again. But it did still mean I spent about 7 1/2 hours driving on that day....
The wedding was in Wales so we had lots of Welsh food to eat at the reception, including Welsh goat's cheese, Welsh lamb, and mini Welsh cakes with the coffee:

Hmmm...is a Welsh cake like an English muffin? It looks yummy.
How wonderful that you attended a wedding! Family member? Friend? I'm with Amy...want to see some pix! :o)
All that Welsh food sounds wonderful.
Yum... Welsh cakes! My friend's mother used to make them. She had the most surprising way of measuring her ingredients - a handful of this, a spoonful of that - but they were always delicious!
Deb, Welsh Cakes are a kind of drop scone / cake thing. They're not like English Muffins, as there is no yeast in the dough. They're made of a kind-of batter really and cooked on a griddle. They are super-yummy.
OOohhh a Spring wedding :) Lovely!!! What a wonderful few weeks you've had!!!
I've been busy catching up, looks like you all had a fab holiday!
I'm hungry now
