Butterflies

They definitely seem to be 'in' at the moment, those butterflies - I'm seeing them on a lot of projects! They are so beautiful though :-) Here's a card I whipped up using my Martha Stewart punch and some scraps of patterned paper (still making Something From Almost Nothing, you see! Well, except for buying a new punch, ahem....)

I just used tiny pieces of double-sided tape to stick the punchies on (to answer your question Kate), and gently bent their wings forward for dimension. I remember Ali Edwards, ages ago, doing a framed version of this as a keepsake of her favourite papers (which is totally where I stole the idea from). I love it as a card design :-)

It does faintly remind me of specimens pinned to display boards in the natural history section of a museum though.....

I was meant to share a Tuesday Tutorial on making ribbon card toppers today but if you're seeing this post it's because I ran out of time, sorry! I'll get it ready as soon as I can x

And a final reminder to enter my giveaway! It finishes at 6pm GMT today :-)

That's very striking. I saw Ali's example as well, and thought I might try it out on hearts.

I so want a butterfly punch! Why I haven't already got one,I don't understand... I have a dragonfly, which is very pretty, so why no butterfly?

The card is very pretty, though I do agree with what you say about the specimin boards! I like it even so.
