Oooh, that was one of the treats at tea time when I was a kid! Still love the stuff. It doesn't last long if I buy one. Tastes best with butter (no margarine - yuk!).

It describes what I actually say (nonsense, mostly) and how I say it (ie my accent, which is a mixture of all sorts - a bit of North of England, a bit of Irish, a bit of South West England, a lot of just me!) The word comes from my name, Mel, and the fact that I'm one-quarter Welsh. But there's not actually any Welsh in my accent. Go figure...

Malt loaf? Can't say I've ever tried it but it does look very scrummy.

MMMMM LOVE malt loaf!!! My MIL sends it to me but it always arrives flat as a pancake lol! Still, its soooo yummy :)
What is in malt loaf? It looks like Boston Brown Bread, which I think may have malt in it.
